005. Outsides

Az and Caitlyn had a very twisted relationship. (Well, all ghouls and their regnants do - but even before Caitlyn was a ghoul, they were a pair of high-Resolve crazy people battling one another in a contest of wills.)

One of the things Az did before she made Caitlyn a ghoul was to cut off Caitlyn's (beautiful, quite long) hair, sheared it down to a pretty ugly buzz cut, in order to teach Caitlyn a lesson (I believe about her arrogance about her looks). Caitlyn probably didn't cry over it, but I wanted to use the picture more as the symbolic control Az eventually had over Caitlyn.

This was just one in a series of events (up to and including what can only be called torture) that Az put Caitlyn through before ghouling her. Caitlyn was seeking it out, but she very nearly pushed Az into Humanity loss - which was, really, her goal; that and forcing Az to Embrace her.

Yeah. Two very broken people, Az and Caitlyn.
